Just in the mail!
I'm heading upstairs to start 20th Century Ghosts by Joe Hill. Didn't know Christopher Golden did the introduction, just finished one of his books, Prowlers.

Happy New Year to All!

I thought Pop Art was one of the most interesting stories I've read in quite some time. Haven't made my way through the entire book yet. I pull it off the shelf and read a story here and there.

What did you think of Prowlers?

BTW, I still have that Baltimore book sitting here, waiting for its new home ;)

Heya Jim!
I am reading Pop Art now, how hilarious! I'm just trying to figure out if this guy is mad or just exactly WHAT Artie really is!!!

I liked Prowlers, cant wait to find Prowlers, Laws of Nature. I've set eBay to notify me of new listings, it's been slow lately...

I know, I know....we'll get there, eventually. Last time I was in Delavan, it was a blizzard and couldn't wait to get home, no detours, no passing go, no collecting $200~~~!!!

Happy New Year to you Guys!!!

Well, just remember, you've now entered Hill's own personal version of The Twilight Zone. Last night, I read My Father's Mask. Still not quite sure exactly what the hell happened there but it was tres creepy.

I'll try to remember to check my shelves. I'm almost positive I have the full set laying around somewhere. It kind of sucks though because the series isn't "finished." I'm not sure if the publisher decided the books weren't selling or if Chris just decided to move on to something else but it is obvious from the way the last book ends that there is more to the overall story.

I still need to pick up a copy of Borderkind. I think the mass market paperback version comes out in a couple months, probably wait and just pick up that copy.

Yeah, I don't get over your way much at all either. FWIW, I'm home just about every night during the week. Weekends are hit and miss. Just give me a heads up when you might be around.

Sorry to hear that...I hate when that happens~!

I'm waiting for Nats to finish reading it, but she's on something else at the moment, or I'd send it to you. It's a definite MUST-HAVE! I think the 4th book comes out in April 08, can't WAIT!!

I don't drive nights, night vision not great and all that...we'll manage it somehow and honk when we can!

I can loan you the Menagarie books you're missing, if you'd like.

UPS dropped off to me today Dark Congress, his latest (and likely last) Buffy book, along with Slash's (Guns n Roses) biography. I really liked Motley Crue's book from a year or two ago so thought I'd give this one a shot.

Not read that one yet. I've read Dirt and No One Here Gets Out Alive (which I think was required reading to be cool back when I was in school. They handed out copies when you went out to "Cancer Corner" to sneak a smoke. lol! ). I don't get into biographies much but every once in a while I'll pick one up. Dirt was really good, each chapter focused on a different member of the band. Kind of interesting how each one would remember events differently.

PostSubject: 2 Joe Hills????   Tue 08 Jan 2008, 21:24

What's up with there being TWO authors writing as Joe Hill...is that even possible or allowed? I almost went to snag "Surviving" but something in the amazon book description made me go read the few reviews, and VOILA it is not the same person...
