that was funny. So how did everyones gardens turn out this year? My flowers did not do very good. Roses were all scrawny and one of them didn't even get a foot tall. I planted a pumkin that was supposed to grow 200 lb plus pumkins and haven't gotten one. My tomatoe plant only got 5 tomatoes on it. My pond really sucks we bought a new bigger liner after the puppy shredded the last one. And we could not get anyone over here to dig the hole nor could we find a place to rent a machine AND trailer. So were are still sitting with the big ugly hole.

My poor pitiful container plants are barely there...the cherry tomatoes are scrawny, leggy and putting out wimpy fruit, and I have ONE SINGLE giant (?) Marconi pepper, threatening to topple the pot, laying over it's 18 inch parent plant...
The pimientos don't have a single blossom and are barely a foot high, the basil is blooming and only 18 inchs tall...not nearly as many leaves to pluck this season, the parsley is puney, the chives took a dive...I'm having herbal withdrawals -we've had not enough warm weather and now it's almost FALL??? sad....

the deer are healthy, the sedum are eaten almost bare.....won't have many blooms this fall...but the babehs are cute!

I stopped a guy driving past yesterday with a excavator on a trailer. I asked him if he did side jobs. He told me yes and he would go do the job he had down the road and stop back after. i could not believe what he said to me when he showed. HE WANTED $1000 TO DIG THE HOLE BIGGER. That's crazy I'll just keep looking at the ugly hole for that much.
