Can anybody help me out here? A couple of years ago I rescued a dog from my SIL. I am finding myself thinking I need to find him a new home. He's a great little dog. But he runs every chance he gets. I have a fenced in yard but it's not a regular fence and no matter what I do he figures a way out. I had an invisible fence. But about 2 months ago some little bastard tried to steal the dog. And my dog was the one who ended up in jail. Anyhow I got the dog back but not the collar. I can't afford to put up a regular fence and I can't afford to pay another $100 for a collar. He's is a schnauzer mixed with yorkie. Looks just like a mini schnauzer but with yorkie coloring. Around here it's only a matter of time before he gets hit by a car. His only other problem is he is just starting to come when I call him. See when he was little my SIL would call him and if he didn't immediately come she would slap the poop out of him when he did finally come, so he gets scared his gonna get hit. I have all his vet records.

oh yeah I think my husband will kick her ass if she even thinks about it. She's a very nice lady. She fell in love with another schnauzer we had and treated her like royalty I think she maybe just didn't have the patience for a puppy

Oh Buster Buster don't know what else to do. Ok we fenced in the yard, not good enough still got out, put up an invisible fence other dog wrecked the collar and from the way they were wrestling I swear Buster you were trying on purpose to get it wrecked. Last week got a fine for dogs at large. Hubby had been home after police called me at work I called him and was bitchin hubby swore up and down the little dogs were in the house when he left the big one was outside. I thought for sure he was poop because I was so mad. The day after we were both sitting in the living room and all the dogs had been left out and OMG the door opened. Here big dog has learned how to open doors ok that explains how they got out. So to be on the even safer side LOL I went and put up an additional fence that was electrified. It runs along the bottom and then along the top. Today hubby seen Buster trying to get out. He has figured out how to step up on the fence so he doesn't get zapped by the lower wire and I heard he had his front paws on the original fence just beyond the upper wire and was trying to bend the fence with his mouth so he would be able to slip between the electric fence and the regular one. What the hell, what more can I possibly do? I am gonna try and video tape some of this stuff to try and get out of the fine. But anybody got any idea what else I can do to keep him in the yard. I tried tying him up and the other dogs think that is a game.
