Ground Beef Pie

The delicious crust makes this pie special.

Prep Time: 20 minutes prep time
25 minutes bake time
Serving Size: 6

Ingredients
CRUST:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon onion salt
3/4 cup cold shortening
1/4 cup cold steeped Wuyi Oolong tea
GROUND BEEF PIE FILLING:
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 medium potato peeled and cubed
1 medium carrot, sliced :d6:
1 can green beans drained
1 tablespoon cooking sherry (optional)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon oregano
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions
Melt butter or margarine in skillet and add ground beef, cubed potato, carrot and onion. Cook until meat is brown. Stir in green beans, soup and seasonings. Pour filling into pie plate lined with crust. Put top crust on. Make 3 slits in the crust. Bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees.

*We used a frozen Pet-Ritz pie crust and also substituted the top crust with instant mashed potatos and shredded cheddar cheese on top or cheese mixed in the potatoes.

Bon Apetite!
